Summer is a perfect time for concerts and for the past 5 years Des Moines has been home to the 80/35 Music Festival. 80/30 is a two-day event that brings a nice mix of local, indie, and mainstream bands and artists to downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Thousands pour into downtown Des Moines to join in, and with one main stage and multiple side stages, it’s easy to find a band that you like.

Even in the heat, humidity, or rain, concertgoers enjoy some great music, food, and drinks throughout the entire day and all the way into the night. 80/35 is another great example of how Castii can make an event come to life and make thousands of people at the same event feel like they all know each other. We love everything about the 4th including the parades, fairs, food, and fireworks! Castii user @erminmaslic was able to give us some fantastic 4th of July pictures and videos from the Des Moines Iowa suburb of Urbandale. He was able to capture all of the 4th of July festivites that Urbandale had to offer including the parade, fair, and fireworks show. What happens on the last Thursday of every month in NE Portland?

DJs, toy-makers, food creators, and people watchers gathered together Last Thursday on Alberta for an amorphous celebration of art in all its forms.

Whether it’s the mouth-watering smells of nearby food carts or the street sounds of talented musicians begging your feet to start dancing, each step brings a different sense forward into focus. Castii was just one of those among the teeming crowds of culture-hungry Portlandians to catch the action last Thursday.

The Seattle Sounders Women dominated again with their match against Santa Clarita Blue Heat on Sunday, winning the game with another 4-0 lead. What an epic display! GeekWire pulled out all the stops last night for a night of ping-pong and foosball tournaments. More than 100 players from the Seattle tech community came out to battle brains and brawn for some sweet prizes. What shows greater support than power in numbers? Seattle came out in the thousands on Thursday night to support the Seattle Sonics and plans for a new Sonics Arena. Beneath big green and yellow ‘Bring ‘em Back!’ signs, die-hard Sonic fans could be heard retelling stories of Sonic glory hay-day and their faith in an epic return.
